EASTHAM PUBLIC LIBRARY, EASTHAM, MA

The Eastham Public Library was designed with panoramic views onto one of Cape Cod’s iconic and ecologically unique kettle ponds. CBA incorporated rain gardens into the landscape design to support the site’s stormwater management goals; native shrubs and meadow plantings for beauty and ecological diversity; a simple bluestone patio for staff use; and a large, lushly planted reading courtyard for library patron enjoyment.

Oudens Ello Architecture received a 2018 AIA/ALA Library Building Awards for the Eastham Public Library.
